Creating Product Photography That Sells
When customers shop online, they can't pick up a product, feel the packaging, or inspect it in person. The photography has to do that job for them.
That's exactly why every detail mattered when we partnered once again with Sara Kelly Brand Consultant to create the new product imagery for Spring Bone Broth's latest packaging launch.
This wasn't simply a product photography shoot. These images would become the face of the brand online, influencing first impressions, building trust, and helping customers make a purchasing decision.
For a premium product, the visuals needed to reflect the quality inside every bottle.
Planning The Shoot From The Ground Up
The project involved photographing six different flavours across two bottle sizes, creating a large library of commercial imagery that could be used across e-commerce platforms, marketing materials, social media, advertising campaigns and retailer listings.
To achieve the variety required, we designed and built eight completely new backdrops specifically for the shoot.
Each backdrop was carefully selected to complement the product range while maintaining consistency across the collection. The goal was to create enough variation to keep the imagery engaging without losing the premium, recognisable look of the brand.
By the end of the project, we had produced around 50 commercial-grade images ready for immediate use.
Creating A Premium Look
Product photography is often about what customers don't notice.
Clean reflections.
Consistent lighting.
Accurate colours.
Perfect label placement.
Every small detail contributes to the perception of quality.
Working from our studio using professional Nanlite lighting equipment, each scene was carefully planned before the shutter was pressed. Rather than rushing through the product range, every bottle was positioned, adjusted and reviewed to ensure it met the standard required before moving on to the next image.
The result was a collection of photographs designed not just to showcase the products, but to communicate the premium nature of the brand itself.
Attention To Detail Matters
Glass packaging looks fantastic when photographed properly.
It also presents unique challenges.
Every fingerprint, dust particle and unwanted reflection becomes visible under professional lighting.
To ensure the final images met the highest standards, every bottle was thoroughly cleaned before each photograph was taken. During the editing process, additional time was spent removing distracting reflections and refining each image to create a polished, professional finish.
These are often the details customers never consciously notice, but they play a huge role in how a product is perceived.
A premium product deserves premium presentation.
Building A Visual Library For Growth
One of the biggest advantages of investing in professional product photography is longevity.
Rather than creating a handful of images, this project delivered a comprehensive content library that can be used across multiple marketing channels for months to come.
From website product pages and online retailers to social media campaigns and printed marketing materials, Spring Bone Broth now has a consistent collection of imagery that reflects the quality of the product and strengthens the overall brand.
When customers encounter the brand online, these photographs help create confidence before they've even read a single product description.
Photography That Supports The Brand
Working alongside Sara Kelly Brand Consultant once again allowed us to ensure the photography aligned perfectly with the wider brand strategy and packaging design.
The result is a cohesive visual identity that supports the premium positioning of Spring Bone Broth and helps the products stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
Because when customers are making purchasing decisions online, great photography isn't an extra.
It's often the difference between a sale and a scroll past.
