Showcasing Greaseproof Paper with Eye-Catching Imagery

We love a creative challenge, and a photoshoot for Kendon Packaging a few months ago was no exception. Tasked with capturing branded greaseproof paper for an upcoming fish and chip expo, we were given an open brief: photograph food wrapped in their branded greaseproof paper, but without resorting to the obvious choice of fish and chips.

Stepping Outside the Box

Rather than going down the expected route, we decided to think outside the box and showcase how versatile Kendon Packaging’s greaseproof paper can be for different food types. We wanted to create something visually compelling that would stand out, especially since the final images would be used for a banner at the expo, designed to catch the eyes of passersby.

A Variety of Food Choices

We brainstormed a range of food options, settling on some delicious alternatives. Partnering with a local baker, we photographed a rich, gooey brownie wrapped in the paper, giving it a gourmet feel. Next, we purchased a baguette, made a delicious sandwich, and captured it elegantly wrapped. Finally, we decided to bake a homemade focaccia, adding fresh ingredients and dressing the set to give the images a mouthwatering appeal.

Dressing the Set for Impact

Each set was thoughtfully styled, with props and backgrounds that would enhance the visuals without overshadowing the product or brand. Our aim was to create compositions that felt dynamic, enticing, and a little different from the standard fare. The end result was a series of bold, visually engaging images that showcased the greaseproof paper in ways that would immediately catch attention at a busy expo.

This photoshoot was a great example of how creativity and thoughtful execution can elevate even the most simple product, like greaseproof paper, into a high-impact marketing asset. We were thrilled with the results, and Kendon Packaging now has eye-catching visuals that will help them stand out at the fish and chip expo.
